voici ce qu'il m'a écrit :
Le raison de rejoindre le forum steel guitar france est le suivant:
(writing in english is easier for me, so I continue in english)
But first I will introduce myself.
My name is Ellio Martina. I am a luthier and musician.
Started to play pedal steel in the '70-ties after the Flying Burrito Brothers
played their 1st concert in the Netherlands.
"Sliding Spaghetti" is the artist name my friends gave me because of sliding
with the bar over the strings and the fact that I am italian (but born in the Netherlands)
The reason I tried to join the french pedal steel forum is that
I wanted to put a message on the forum to let french steel players know
that on 18 and 19 october there will be a Steel Guitar Convention in Italy,
It is being organised by two italian friends of mine and Johan Jansen,
who is the initiator of the dutch Steeldays.
Our italian friends were initially aiming at italian players, but at the dutch Steeldays,
Johan and I got the idea to help them to get more participants.
So we worked on a plan to see if we can organize a bus trip from the Netherlands
to Italy with several stops on the road in Germany and Austria to pick up steel players
with their steel guitars and amplifiers.
May be there are also steel players from France that want to visit this convention and
participate in David Hartley's and other workshops etc.
It would be great if you put the information on the forum in french.
I learned some french at high school, but that's more than 40 years ago,
so it would take some time to write it.
Here is the link to the website where you can find all information:
Johan and I would be very grateful for any help from you to make this convention really become international.
With best regards, also on behalf of Johan,
