This is a great riff and ending scale to learn more about the C6th Tuning. This use of the C to B knee lever is one of the basic classical applications for it and if you execute it cleanly, it will make for a more interesting transition to the next key.

Almost every note was played using just the thumb. Exceptions are the second note of the ending scale and the diminished triads. The thumb pick produces a full and even tone across all the strings.

The ending scale takes advantage of all 10 strings and shows how the high D string allows for easy execution without much bar movement. Using the fretboard pictorial pictured here, notice how close adjacent notes are with the high D string in the picture. It's only two half tones from the C and E strings! And notice how the high A string is only two half tones away from the G string. All up and down the neck you can take advantage of these close spacings to execute fast riffs with very little bar movement. There are similar pockets of notes at frets 12, 10, 7, 5 and 4! Drawing fretboard pictures of these scales make it easy to picture and memorize them for later use.

I'll start adding a comment file to some of my tabs to further explain various apsects of playing them. Check out my tab page 16 for Tab 603 to see the new format!

Only 1:50 long, "Good Deal Lucille" by Carl Smith is a high-energy bayou romp along the lines of "Jamabalya" by Hank Williams and "C'est la Vie" by Chuck Berry.

You can hear the Curly Chalker solo at 1:48 of "CD Solos 1" in Greg Cutshaw's 2/23/09 post here:

Voilà une présentation impeccable !
Ce serait intéressant d'avoir une idée pareille du copedent pour les quatre morceaux précédents.
